Our Story

Stagg Cycles has been part of the Lucan community for over 40 years. Founded in 1981 by Jimmy Stagg and now run alongside his son Chris, the shop has always been about people, passion, and community more than just bikes. Jimmy helped start the Lucan Cycling Road Club in 1985, and the Stagg family are still a familiar sight at races and local events across Ireland.

What sets Stagg Cycles apart is its genuine, no-nonsense approach. You’ll always get honest advice, friendly service, and a real love for cycling. Whether you’re a club racer, weekend rider, or fixing up a kid’s first bike, you’ll get the same warm welcome and expert help. They’ll happily work on any bike, no matter where it came from. After four decades, Stagg Cycles is still what it’s always been — family-run, community-minded, and proud to keep Lucan rolling.

Typical limits are: up to €1,250 for standard bikes, €1,500 for e-bikes, and €3,000 for cargo/e-cargo bikes.
